The oral doctoral examination of Whitney Baillie-Berring, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, September 18, at 9 a.m. in Eggers Hall, room 100.

Baillie-Berring’s advisor is Professor Renee de Nevers. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Daniel McDowell and Chris Faricy. Professor Norman Kutcher will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “When Politics No Longer Stops at the Water’s Edge: Exploring the Effects of Asymmetric Partisan Polarization on the United States Senate’s Treaty Approval Process.”
