Syracuse University College of Law’s Corporate Law Society (CLS) is hosting the General Counsel (GC) Symposium in Dineen Hall on Thursday, September 19 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The GC Symposium will provide attendees with the opportunity to hear from senior business leaders, understand the challenges faced by GCs, and network. A GC is a company’s main attorney and primary legal advisor. The event is free and open to all Syracuse Law and Syracuse University students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
There will be a reception in Dineen Hall from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by the first Business Negotiation Competition (BNC) starting at 6 p.m. The BNC will feature two teams of two Syracuse Law students negotiating a business scenario in front of a panel of Syracuse Law alumni judges. The four finalists will have prevailed through four preliminary rounds of competition throughout September.
