Syracuse University students launched the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in 1969 to promote access to books by and about people of African descent. Join the Department of African American Studies, the Barner-McDuffie House, the Library and Information Science program, and student groups for a Banned Books Week Read-In to celebrate the freedom to read. Books, bookmarks, Black & Banned lists and refreshments will be provided.
