Dissertation Defense: Pyeonghwa Kim

The oral doctoral examination of Pyeonghwa Kim, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, April 23, at 11  a.m. in Hinds Hall 347 and via Zoom.

Kim’s advisor is Professor Steven Sawyer. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors EunJeong Cheon, Yiqi Li, and Michael Dunn. Professor Kira Reed will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “The Many Futures of Work and Skill: Online Freelancers’ Skill-Building Experiences on Digital Labor Platforms.”
