Dissertation Defense: Alexandria Guinness

The oral doctoral examination of Alexandria Guinness, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, April 30, at 10:30 a.m. in the Center for Science & Technology, room 1-132 and via Zoom.

Guinness’s advisor is Professor John Franck. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Arindam Chakraborty, Joseph Chaiken, Weiwei Zheng, and Mathew Maye. Professor Paul Souder will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Advancing the Sensitivity and Precision of Overhauser Dynamic Nuclear Polarization with a Foundation in the First Principles of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Physics.”
