Join The Syracuse University Diversity and Inclusion Student-Athlete Board (DISAB) in collaboration with Community Folk Art Center for a Black History Month Movie Premiere of The Hate U Give (2018). This event is free and open to Syracuse University Students. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the screening will begin at 7:00 PM
About the film: Based on Angie Thomas’s bestselling novel, this impactful story follows Starr Carter as she navigates two worlds – the poverty-stricken neighborhood where she lives and the elite prep school she attends- while grappling with the aftermath of a tragic event that ignites her voice for change.
