Visualizing Data with Tableau

February 14, 2025 at 1:00pm4:00pm EST

Virtual (See event details)

Visualizing Data with Tableau is a boot camp built for graduate students and postdocs in any and all disciplines. Whether you’re a poet or chemist, this hands-on Tableau workshop, led by Erin Waldron of Data Dozen, is designed to empower you to turn the data that surrounds you into information you can use. Not really sure what data even is? No problem, this workshop kicks off at the very beginning. We’ll build visualizations you’ll recognize and ones you’ve never seen, stitch those visualizations into an interactive dashboard, and dive into how you can develop and leverage your newfound skill set as a student and after you graduate. Faculty and staff also welcome. Have your laptop ready!

This event, made possible with financial support from the GSO, partially satisfies requirements for the Graduate School’s Digital Badge in Research Communication.
