Dissertation Defense: Raiana Soraia De Carvalho

The oral doctoral examination of Raiana Soraia De Carvalho, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Friday, February 21, at 10 a.m. in Newhouse 3, room 327.

De Carvalho’s advisor is Professor Anne Osborne. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Carol Liebler and Srivi Ramasubramanian. Professor Danielle Smith will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Communicative Interventions and Connective Visibilities Online: A Qualitative Analysis of Feminist Pedagogy and Political Expression on Instagram by Northeastern Afro-Brazilian Women’s Organizations.”
