Russia’s Full-Scale Invasion of Ukraine, Three Years Later: The View From Ukraine

The Moynihan Institute’s Center for European Studies presents three Ukrainian experts: Maria Avdeeva, Tetiana Hranchak, and Mariana Semenyshyn.  They will  share their views on the course of the war and where it might go in the coming year.
Vladimir Putin and Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022. Putin thought the war would be over in three days.  Three years later, Ukraine is still standing, but the toll on Ukrainian society has been severe. 


Maria Avdeeva
is a Eurasia fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. She has been covering the war on the ground from day one and is a frequent contributor to international media.

Tetiana Hranchak is a visiting assistant teaching professor at the Maxwell School, Syracuse University and visiting scholar in the Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs.

Mariana Semenyshyn is a team leader for the German International Cooperation Society in Kyiv, Ukraine, and a Visiting Fulbright Scholar in the Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs.
