Dissertation Defense: Christy Khoury

The oral doctoral examination of Christy Khoury, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Tuesday, February 25, at 11 a.m. in Hinds Hall, the Katzer Room and via Zoom.

Khoury’s advisor is Professor Jeff Hemsley. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Steven Sawyer, Jasmina Tacheva and Bryan Semaan. Professor Anne Osborne will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Scrolling through Chaos: Examining Tiktok for Sensemaking and Resiliency Information Behaviors During Lebanese Crises.”
