First-Generation Mixed Tapes: A Space to Celebrate Intersectionality
February 25, 2025 at 4:00pm – 5:00pm EST
Barner-McDuffie House
Each month, Syracuse University’s First-Generation Programs partners with different offices around campus to hold space for first-generation college students of all identities. In these spaces, we discuss difference facets of the first-gen experience and have a listening party!
To celebrate Black History Month, we will be hosting our affinity event in the Barner-McDuffie House with the goal of having a conversation about what it means to be Black and first-generation. All are welcome to participate in this event as we continue to support and strengthen our intersectional community. If you would like to suggest a song for this month’s playlist, please submit it through our MachForm. We hope to see you there!
