July 2, 2025 at 1:30pm – 2:30pm EDT
Virtual (See event details)
Summer Skill Builders for grad students and postdocs are intended to help you take full advantage of the academic “off season” to reach significant milestones in your program and/or career development. This session in the series will equip you with information about the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Syracuse University and strategies for submitting a successful IRB application. The IRB provides review and oversight of all research involving interaction or intervention with human participants conducted at the University. We’ll consider IRB processes and procedures as well as some of the challenges inexperienced IRB applicants may face, followed by Q&A. The session is led by Jeanne Diederich, IRB Manager with the Office of Research Integrity and Protections (ORIP).
