Dissertation Defense: Amanda Surman

Heroy Geology Laboratory

The oral doctoral examination of Amanda Surman, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, July 9, at 10 a.m. in Heroy Geology Laboratory, Room 333C.

Surman’s advisors are Professor John Tillotson and Jason Wiles. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Qiu Wang, and Taya Misheva. Professor Anne Bellows will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Bridging Gaps in STEM: An Evaluation of a STEM Intervention Program and its Impact on Degree Attainment and Career Pathways for Low-Income Undergraduate Students.”
