Dissertation Defense: Jinpu Wang

The oral doctoral examination of Jinpu Wang, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Tuesday, July 22, at 1 p.m. via Zoom.

Wang’s advisor is Professor Prema Kurien. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Cecilia Green and Yingyi Ma. Professor Norman Kutcher will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “A Mirage of the “Birdcage”: Chinese Emigrants in Ghana.”
