Dissertation Defense: Sean Nalty

The oral doctoral examination of Sean Nalty, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, June 18, at 10  a.m. in 538 Hall of Languages and via Zoom.

Nalty’s advisor is Professor Mark Heller. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Erica Shumener, Josh Hunt, Karen Bennett, and Kris McDaniel. Professor Scott Watson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “In Defense of Metaphysics: A Defense of Value and Methodological Soundness of Metaphysics Understood as Structural Modeling.”
