Dissertation Defense: Alexander Smith

The oral doctoral examination of Alexander Smith, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Monday, March 3, at 1:30 p.m. in Hinds Hall, Katzer Room.

Smith’s advisor is Professor Jeff Hemsley. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Jasmina Tacheva, Carsten Øesterlund, and Bryan Semaan. Professor Dennis Kinsey will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Memetics Reinformed: Three Informational Developments of Memes.”
