Dissertation Defense: Joseph Colbert

The oral doctoral examination of Joseph Colbert, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, March 5, at 12:30 p.m. in the Life Sciences Complex, room 106.

Colbert’s advisor is Professor Heather Coleman. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Louis Lamit,  John Drake, and Yasir Ahmed-Braimah. Professor Brett Jakubiak will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Mannose: The Hands of Fate ¿ Overexpressing a Pinus taeda hemicellulose biosynthesis gene in Populus tremula × alba leads to increased height and a modified cell wall sugar profile.”
