This workshop equips graduate teaching assistants with strategies to support multilingual student writers through examining how institutional norms and personal language ideologies influence feedback practices. Participants will develop awareness of hidden biases in writing response and learn research-informed approaches for providing constructive, culturally responsive feedback that honors linguistic diversity while supporting academic growth.
The workshop will be facilitated by Professor Joe Wilson.
It is sponsored by the Future Professoriate Program and the Department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition.
