The oral doctoral examination of Eric Yelton, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Monday, March 10, at 1 p.m. in the Physics Building, Room 202 and via Zoom.

Yelton’s advisor is Professor Britton Plourde. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Christian Santangelo, Ivan Pechenezhskiy, and Jay Hubisz. Professor Pankaj Jha will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Measurements and modeling of phonon-mediated quasiparticle poisoning in superconducting qubit arrays.”
