The oral doctoral examination of Gaelle Amazan, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Thursday, March 20, at 2 p.m. via Zoom.

Amazan’s advisor is Professor Dawn Johnson. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Cathy Engstrom, Gretchen Lopez and Marcelle Haddix. Professor Sultan Kilinc will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “A Prism of Blackness at Historically Black Institutions: Experiences of Black Marginalized Gender and Sexuality Identities.”
