Dissertation Defense: Kim Fontana

The oral doctoral examination of Kim Fontana, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Monday, March 24, at 1 p.m. in Huntington Hall, the Ganders Lounge and via Zoom.

Kim Fontana’s advisor is Professor Kelly Chandler-Olcott. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors George Theoharis and Marcelle Haddix. Professor Cathy Engstrom will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Personalized Learning and Transformative Literacy Learning and Teaching:  A Case Study of Students’ 20time/Passion Projects in English 8.”
