Joan of Arc Pop-up Exhibit
March 25, 2025 at 12:00pm – 2:00pm EDT
Bird Library, 6th floor
Visit the the Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) for special pop-up exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month!
Discover art and archival materials created by writers and artists in Europe and North America from the 18th century to today that reimagine Joan of Arc. The pious peasant Joan of Arc (circa 1412—1431) led the French army to victory during the Hundred Years’ War and was executed for heresy in 1431. Canonized as a saint in 1920, over the centuries Joan has evolved into a powerful symbol of women’s courage.
Following the SCRC pop-up exhibition, SU Art Museum will host a complementary pop-up exhibition from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
