Dissertation Defense: Yiran Duan

The oral doctoral examination of Yiran Duan, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Monday, May 5, at 10 a.m. in Hinds Hall, room 347 and via Zoom.

Duan’s advisor is Professor Jeff Hemsley. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Laverne Gray, Yiqi Li, and Jill Hopke. Professor Rebecca Kelly will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Curating Climate Change: Information Flows Across and Within Social Media Platforms.”
