Academic Job Market: First-Round and Campus Interviews

All interviews are stressful, but academic interviews offer complexities and challenges that are unlike other types. This session will walk you through types of academic interviews and the committee’s expectations as it moves toward a final selection.

This session is part of the 4-day Academic Job Market Crash Course for graduate students and postdocs, running May 20-23, with daily schedule as follows:

• 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch and Job Market Talks
• 1:45 PM – 3:00 PM: Designated writing time to draft job market materials based on workshop content
• 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Receive feedback on materials from participants, Graduate School staff, and staff from the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs.
