Dissertation Defense: Jianqing Jia

The oral doctoral examination of Jianqing Jia, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Thursday, May 29, at 1 p.m. in Carnegie Library, room 120.

Jia’s advisor is Professor Lixin Shen. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Uday Banerjee, Leonid Kovalev, and Shukai Du. Professor Garrett Katz will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Sparse Recovery Using Scale and Signed Permutation Invariant Functions.”
