Globalists is a student-run publication that promotes individuality, self-expression and open-mindedness by celebrating the stories of those from all walks of life. As a part of this mission, this semester we are hosting Netflix Party movie nights related to culture, identity and international film to encourage a sense of community amid our new online reality.
This time, we are co-hosting movie night with Femme Noir, screening “Becoming.” Based on Michelle Obama’s bestselling memoir, this documentary offers a close look into the former first lady’s life. Obama reflects on her years in the White House and tells a story of overcoming obstacles in her personal and professional experiences.
