The oral doctoral examination of Charles Tuthill, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Thursday, December 17, at 2 p.m. in Zoom.

Tuthill’s advisor is Professor S.N. Sangmpam. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Matthew Cleary, Jonathan Hanson, Audie Klotz and Mark Rupert. Professor John McPeak will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Conflict, Consensus and Modernizing Trajectories in sub-Saharan Africa.”
