Did women have a Renaissance? The answer is a resounding yes, but only relatively recently have scholars begun to explore in depth the relationship between women and the visual culture of the Italian Renaissance (c. 1300-1600). In celebration of the College of Arts and Sciences‘ sesquicentennial, join Sally Cornelison, Professor and Director, Florence Graduate Program in Italian Renaissance Art, to learn more about the role women played as patrons, viewers, and creators of art during this seminal period in history.
