Dissertation Defense: Angely Martinez

The oral doctoral examination of Angely Martinez, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Friday, February 5, at 2 p.m. in Zoom.

Martinez’s advisor is Professor Ryan Griffiths. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Seth Jolly, Margaret Hermann, Brian Taylor and Yael Zeira. Professor Renee De Nevers will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “As a Matter De Facto: State Capacity Dynamics and their Role in Shaping Sovereignty for Unrecognized States.”
