Virtual D.C. Immersion Series: Careers in Communications

Throughout Feb. 2021, all students are invited to attend free virtual professional development sessions offering an inside look at what it’s like to live and work in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia region.

During the third session, Moderated Discussion (Careers in Communications), alumni guests include industry experts Sabrina Fang Farley ’96, senior director of media relations at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; Justin O’Neill G’10, senior producer – ‘Sidedoor’ podcast at the Smithsonian Institution; and Kyra Meister ’19, former Immersion Week participant and audience coordinator at The Atlantic. Discussions will address a variety of topics including current industry trends, tips on networking or job searching in our current climate, and what it’s like to live and work in the D.C. region.
