Dissertation Defense: Elissa Isenberg

The oral doctoral examination of Elissa Isenberg, candidate for the PhD degree will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 10 a.m. in Zoom.

Isenberg’s advisor is Professor Andrew Cohen. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Carol Faulkner, Susan Branson, Mark Schmeller and Jeffrey Gonda. Professor Robert Wilson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “”A Deadly Menace to All Young Womankind”: Seduction and Protective Legislation in America, 1850-1923.”
