The Water War: Behind the Barricades in Cochabamba
You are invited to a learn about the true story of what happened during the 2000 Water War in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Through this conversation with Rocío Peñaranda Llanos and Dan Moriarty, you will learn about the reality of life in this city nestled in the Andean foothills. We will explore the historical context that led to the uprising, the events that unfolded during the revolt and how life has changed in Cochabamba since the end of the Water War.
It is highly recommended that attendees watch the movie También la lluvia before this event. The movie is available on Netflix.
The conversation will be in Spanish.
