This event is open to all Newhouse students.

You have learned how to prepare for a career at an advertising agency. But that is only half the story. A large percentage of people in the industry work to sell ads to advertisers. It is not only a lucrative career path, it is a highly strategic one. Sellers create strategic opportunities to make their platforms more appealing than the competition.

Hear from three alumni who chose a different path and have created exciting careers.

Scott Bingle ’20, manager of marketing solutions, WarnerMedia:

“After graduating with dual degrees in advertising [from the Newhouse School] and marketing management [from the Whitman School], I moved to New York to join WarnerMedia’s marketing solutions team. After interning on this same team while in school, I was eager to rejoin post-graduation, and I’m now  responsible for crafting integrated partnerships between CNN and brands such as Amazon, Fidelity, GM and Adidas. I live in Brooklyn and am living my dream getting to soak up life in the greatest city in the world.”

Lucas Krupkin ’20, client solutions manager, disruptors, Meta:

“I’m originally from Miami but unexpectedly ended up at Syracuse University for school. I recently joined our disruptors team as it has been my dream job since I first interned at the company almost five years ago. I transitioned from being an account manager in Austin to a client solutions manager in New York. My proudest accomplishment has been the launch a monthly video series for Latin@Global called “Buena Compania.” I interview Latino VPs/directors. A few fun facts about me are that I have backpacked through Spain on the Camino de Santiago, travelled abroad to Hong Kong and I am trilingual (Spanish + Italian + English).”

Tessa Latrenta ’18, manager, sports and Olympics sales planning, NBCUniversal:

“I graduated from Newhouse in 2018 with a major in advertising and minor in marketing. Since graduation I’ve been with NBCU working within ad sales and sponsorships across the sports portfolio, focusing on events like the Summer and Winter Olympics, Super Bowl and FIFA World Cup.”
