The oral doctoral examination of Nathan Uricchio, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Thursday, April 14, at 2 p.m. in Sims Hall, room 337.

Uricchio’s advisor is Professor Jack E. Graver. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Graham J. Leuschke, Claudia Miller, Leonid V. Kovalev and Dan Zacharia. Professor Margaret A. Voss will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Applications of Powerset Operators, Especially to Matroids.”
