Professor Brian D. Taylor of Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs will speak on the topic of “Putin’s War Against Ukraine” during a Zoom public forum from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursday hosted by Syracuse University’s Thursday Morning Roundtable. This session will address the reason for Putin’s war against Ukraine, provide an update on the course of the war, and discuss the implications for Russian politics.

 

Brian D. Taylor is Professor of Political Science in the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.  Taylor is the author of three books on Russian politics, most recently The Code of Putinism (Oxford University Press, 2018).  He received his B.A. from the University of Iowa, an M.S. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
