The oral doctoral examination of Kyung Eun Kim, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Tuesday, August 2, at 9 a.m. EST in Zoom.
Kim’s advisor is Professor Christian D. Santangelo. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Jennifer L. Ross, John W. Laiho, Jennifer M. Schwarz and Alison E. Patteson. Professor Wanliang Shan will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Geometry of Discrete and Continuous Bounded Surfaces.”
