Dissertation Defense: Mariana Mendes Bahia

The oral doctoral examination of Mariana Mendes Bahia, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Tuesday, August 2,  at 2:00 p.m. in 621 Skytop Road, Suite 1200, Room 1161.

Mendes Bahia’s advisor is Professor Soren Lowell. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Ellyn Riley, Jonathan Preston, Victoria Tumanova and Laura Pitts. Professor Lynn Lohnas will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “The effects of the effortful swallow maneuver on hyolaryngeal movement and tongue-to-palate pressure.”
