The oral doctoral examination of Maxwell Cassity, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Tuesday, August 9, at 2 p.m. EST in Zoom.
Cassity’s advisor is Professor Susan Edmunds. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Carol W.N. Fadda, Harvey Teres, Chris A. Eng and Chris Forster. Professor Beth A. Ferri will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Novel Epidemics: Contagion and Metaphor in US Literature.”
