Dissertation Defense: Se Jung Kim

The oral doctoral examination of Se Jung Kim, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Wednesday, August 17, at 2 p.m. in Zoom.

Kim’s advisor is Professor Makana Chock. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Moon Lee, Dennis Kinsey, Bradley Gorham and Leonard Newman. Professor Bong Gee Jang will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Whom Do You Want to Be Friends With: An Extroverted or an Introverted Avatar? : Impacts of the Uncanny Valley Effect and Conversational Cues.”
