Dissertation Defense: Christopher Sant

The oral doctoral examination of Christopher Sant, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Friday, December 2, at 2:30 p.m. in the Heroy Geology Laboratory, room 110.

Sant’s advisor is Professor Jay Thomas. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Paul Fitzgerald, Robert Moucha, Robert Wysocki and Ben Edwards. Professor Mark Ritchie will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Basaltic Lava Flow Morphology and Lava-Substrate Interactions: Insights from Large-Scale Experimental Lava Flows.”
