The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences is pleased to welcome Dr. Xiaoran Hu, a Postdoctoral Scholar at Cornell University. The seminar will be held on Zoom. Please email chemistry@syr.edu for Zoom info.
Title: Molecular design strategies for functional organic materials
Abstract
Rational molecular design and robust synthetic strategies enable the innovation of advanced functional materials. This talk will focus on the rational designs and development of mechanically responsive and photoresponsive polymers for applications ranging from controlled drug release to photolithography. This talk will also discuss the development of low-immunogenicity biomaterials for mRNA delivery.
