Access and Resource Sharing presents a new display titled Letters from the Past, featuring books from the general stacks of Bird Library. The display includes anthologies of letters written by great poets and novelists, as well as collections of correspondences between people outside literature and the arts.  Also in the display are supplemental images and brief descriptions of historic letters, including the last message Marie Antoinette wrote before her execution, a plea for peace sent by Mahatma Gandhi to Adolf Hitler, and Martin Luther King. Jr’s. “Letter from a Birmingham Jail.”

Letters from the Past is located on the 4th floor of Bird Library and will remain up through the summer.
