The oral doctoral examination of Keith Newvine, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Ganders Lounge.

Newvine’s advisor is Professor Marcelle Haddix. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Kathleen Hinchman, Lamar Johnson, Kal Alston and James Rolling Jr. Professor Margaret Susan Thompson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Reading Privileges: Enacting Critical Race English Education in English Language Arts Classrooms.”
