The BioInspired Institute’s Professional Development Program for Graduate Students and Postdocs is organizing programming this semester around the theme of Intellectual Property and Innovation. The second event in the series is:

Academic Innovation: A Panel Discussion with Syracuse University Inventors

After the initial introduction to intellectual property, we are bringing you an insider’s view into what innovation looks like here at Syracuse University. In this panel discussion with University innovators in STEM departments, we will discuss how they approach intellectual property in their research labs and the role of trainees. We will also define technology transfer and the key part it plays in translating academic discoveries into real-world impact.
