The Women’s and Gender Studies Department presents a Brown Bag Talk with Dr. Rebecca J. Lambert.

Combining interviews and textual analysis, this talk explores how emotions influence white women’s engagement in feminist anti-racist coalitions. Dr. Lambert examines the politics of (dis)comfort as a significant theoretical framework for understanding the role of emotions in feminist anti-racist coalitions.

Rebecca J. Lambert has a PhD in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Oregon State University. Her research focuses on affective engagement in feminist coalitions. She is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Women’s and Gender Studies Department at Syracuse University.
