CNY Earth Science Student Symposium

Undergraduate and graduate students from the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences are invited to the Central New York Earth Science Student Symposium on Saturday, April 15.

The symposium consists of two poster sessions, as well as talks where undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to participate by presenting their research. There is great potential for sharing your research with others, networking and for starting collaborations with fellow researchers. We will also be hosting a career fair including CNY regional companies between poster sessions. Furthermore, the symposium will host a keynote speaker which this year will be Dr. Jennifer McIntosh from the University of Arizona.

Non-presenters are welcome as well and should register on our website.  Non-SU student registration is $5.00 and includes breakfast, reception and lunch. Please register and submit your abstracts by March 31 on our google form: https://forms.gle/ubRAysLDTJsaC13s6.

The schedule is as follows:

• 9:00-9:30 a.m. – Registration
• 9:30-10:30 a.m. – Morning Oral Presentation Session
• 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. – Morning Poster Session/Career Fair
• 12:00-1:00 p.m. – Lunch/Career Fair
• 1:00-2:30 p.m. – Afternoon Poster Session/Career Fair
• 2:30-3:30 p.m. – Afternoon Oral Presentation Session
• 3:30-3:45 p.m. – Break
• 3:45-5:00 p.m. – Keynote Speaker
