The oral doctoral examination of Colin Swider, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Monday, April 17, at 2:30 p.m. in 312 Lyman Hall.

Swider’s advisor is Professor Susan Parks. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Mark Ritchie, Peter Wrege, and Jacqueline Frair. Professor Linda Ivany will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Acoustic behavior, habitat use, and poaching risk in African forest elephants (Loxodonta cyclotis): Insights from passive acoustic monitoring.”
