Norma Slepecky Undergraduate Prize Award Ceremony and Memorial Lecture

Annually WiSE (Women in Science and Engineering) honors the memory of Dr. Norma Slepecky by awarding a STEM undergraduate with a modest prize and highlighting the research excellence of women faculty in STEM. This year, the event will be held on April 20th from 10:30 – 12:00 in 500 Hall of Languages. It will be followed by a reception from noon – 1:00.  This event is open to the public.

This year’s memorial lecture is focused on internal excellence in research that is inclusive of undergraduate students. Dr. Shikha Nangia will speak on Undergraduate Powered Research: Are bacteria friends or foes?  And, Dr. Jennifer Ross will speak on Undergraduate Powered Research: Exploring Cellular Self-Organization.
