Dissertation Defense: Mariah Pierce

The oral doctoral examination of Mariah Pierce, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Life Sciences Complex, room 105 and via Zoom.

Mariah Pierce’s advisor is Professor James Hougland. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Ivan Korendovych, Xiaoran Hu, John Chisholm, Davoud Mozhdehi and Carlos Castaneda. Professor Heather Coleman will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Expression, Purification, and Characterization of Enzymes Involved in Ghrelin Signaling.”
