The Tough Topic Tuesday program offers students, staff and faculty the opportunity to engage in discussion around difficult or challenging subjects related to bias, diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and identity. These conversations provide campus community members with a platform for open and constructive dialogue and aim to promote understanding and connection across differences.

Dec. 5 Topic: “Happy Holidays” – A Conversation on Spreading Cheer, Not Hate

There is a lot of controversy around the phrases “Happy Holidays,” “Merry Christmas,” “Happy Hanukkah” and other holiday greetings. With the holiday season approaching, it is important to have conversations about how we can spread cheer, not hate.
